Country Music
While not the first thing that comes to mind when discussing Milwaukee music, the city's small country music scene has produced important figures within the genre. More than anything, however, is the lasting impact that country music played on local musicians in other genres such as rockabilly, Americana, and country rock. Country remains popular with the local population, with major acts playing at a variety of venues, including Summerfest.
